Holiday Rush
Hopefully, everyone had a chance to look at the green folders that came home on Friday. The had graded papers in there. Remember to check on Parent portal as well (https://psapp.richland2.org/public/). I had an emergency family situation come up, so I had to be out unexpectedly Friday but they were in good hands and I left detailed plans on what they needed to work on.
In reading, we are working on points-of-view and perspectives, main idea, author's purpose, and text structure. In math, we are in Chapter 8 working on addition and subtraction with rounding. This chapter has 11 lessons and we finished lesson 5 today, so we will take the Chapter 8 test on Wednesday, December 15th. In science, we are finishing adaptation (migration, hibernation, and extinction). We will move into fossils next. They will have an open book test on Wednesday, December 8 on adaptations. I have decided to round up our social studies with holidays around the world. There will be 9 countries we will focus on.
Last but not least, check out the calendar below for our holiday activities, pictures, and other school news.
LCE 12 Days of Holiday Fun
Lower and Upper Campus Lost and Found
Our lost and found areas are overflowing with clothing and other items. Encourage your student to check lost and found for anything they may be missing.
For LOWER campus parents: We will roll the racks of clothing outside for you to pull over and check for missing items over the next week.
All items not picked up will be donated over Winter Break.
